Functional design, engineering, and 3D printing for parts that need to work.
AXISBREAK helps makers, product developers, repair teams, and small businesses turn ready-to-print files and real-world problems into functional parts. Printing and engineering are two different services, and we price them that way.
Have a File? Print My Part
Best for: STL, 3MF, or STEP files that are already designed and ready for manufacturing.
We review the file for printability, confirm how the part will be used, recommend a suitable material, and quote the manufacturing work. Pricing reflects setup, material, machine time, expected failure allowance, finishing, packaging, and quantity.
Print-only work is designed to stay efficient. If a part needs redesign, dimensional correction, reverse engineering, or application-specific engineering, it moves into our engineering service.
Need It Designed? Engineering & Custom Design
Bring us a broken component, photo, sketch, dimensions, existing assembly, or a problem you need solved. We can develop the CAD, select an appropriate manufacturing approach, prototype the design, and prepare it for production.
Custom CAD and reverse-engineering projects generally start at $95. Exact pricing depends on complexity, measurement requirements, testing, and revision scope. Engineering is quoted separately from manufacturing.
Engineering work begins only after quote approval and a design deposit. The deposit is credited toward the engineering portion of the approved project.
Typical engineering projects include replacement or obsolete parts, brackets, mounts, adapters, electronics enclosures, jigs, fixtures, prototype components, and low-volume production parts.
Material Is an Engineering Decision
You do not need to know which filament is right for your application. Tell us where and how the part will be used. We consider temperature, UV exposure, chemicals, flexibility, load, impact, environment, appearance, and expected service conditions, then recommend a material based on those requirements.
Standard stocked materials are used when appropriate. Specialty materials or colors can add material acquisition cost and lead time. If a customer requests a material contrary to our recommendation, performance issues attributable to that material choice are not covered.
How the Process Works
- Tell us what you need. Send your file, photos, dimensions, quantity, application, environment, and any deadline.
- We review feasibility. We assess printability, material requirements, and whether engineering work is needed.
- You receive a clear quote. Engineering and manufacturing are separated so you know what you are paying for before work begins.
- We prototype and validate when needed. Custom designs may require fit or function testing before production.
- We manufacture the approved part. Once the design is accepted, we produce the requested quantity.
What Makes a Good AXISBREAK Project?
- A replacement part is unavailable or discontinued.
- You need a bracket, mount, adapter, enclosure, jig, or fixture that does not exist off the shelf.
- You need a prototype before committing to larger-scale manufacturing.
- A low-volume custom part solves a problem worth more than the plastic it is made from.
- You already have a print-ready file and need reliable manufacturing.
Not every problem needs custom manufacturing. If an off-the-shelf part is readily available and makes more economic sense, we will tell you.
Project Boundaries
We do not accept projects involving firearms, life-support or medical devices, certified lifting components, high-pressure systems, or other safety-critical applications where failure of a printed component could reasonably cause injury or major property damage.
Start a Project
Use our contact page to tell us what you are trying to accomplish. Include photos or files when available, approximate dimensions, quantity, how the part will be used, and the environment it will operate in. We will determine whether it is a print-only job or an engineering project and take it from there.
